"CUT SUGAR, NOT SYURGA” the second KOMMAS* collection, tells a story of Adam and Eve using a 21st Century lens. From their expulsion from the Garden of Eden to their new life on Earth. By combining together what it means to be a God fearing human in South East Asia, as shown by the batik aesthetic of the embroidery while also juxtaposed by the reality of our vices and the temptations of this world. That is the meaning of Cut Sugar, Not Syurga.
